International Maritime Organization 2014 targets, challenges and priorities

The International Maritime Organization – is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.
IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu has delivered his New Year Address outlining some of the targets, challenges and priorities the Organization will face this year at the opening of the first sub-committee meeting of 2014.
