SUBJECT: SECURITY ALERT for sailors. -
[Hazard Zones for Vessels]
The National Rescue and Maritime Safety Aquatic Spaces of Venezuela ONSA-AC under the latest reports received from attacks Piracy / Armed Robbery within the water district of Puerto La Cruz, especially near the Caracas Islands area (See: Board of Piracy / Armed Robbery)
Follow up:
DANGER ZONE WARNS as, according to the classification of risk areas for boats, derived from the ONSA / Circ. No. 0012 - 05JUN2004, the eastern part of the water district of Puerto La Cruz, especially Caracas Islands as "Dangerous Place".
RECOMMENDS to ships and sailors who move within the water areas of Venezuela and the maritime community, to know the Hazard Zone Map for Boats published by the Organization, in order to take proper precautions to reduce the risk of piracy / armed robbery in our waters.
INVITES the media and other appropriate channels, to contribute to the spread of Hazard Zones Map for boats in order to warn people of the sea, where you can enjoy with minimal risk of water spaces providing Venezuela.
CALLS again to the National Authorities to implement through a Joint Risk Plan, corrective actions, effective and designed to intensify the monitoring of full areas identified as High Risk, Danger or Warning, within the water areas of the Republic, the purpose of ensuring, as prescribed by law and is known as the Safety of Life at Sea, Maritime Security.
