BRANCH ASSISTANT – PROGRAM VISITOR INCENTIVES, (BA-VIP)

 

In addition to General Duties, the Branch Assistant, Program Visitor Incentives (BA-VIP) under the general direction and supervision of the Branch Chief, Program Visitor Incentives (BC-VIP), shall have the following responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities

  • Work directly for the Branch Chief, Program Visitor Incentives (BC-VIP) and collaborate with the Branch Chief, Vessel Examination Incentives (BC-VIV) to develop and administer national level RBS incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with other V-Directorate Divisions as needed to complete projects and assigned tasks.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Current certification as either a Vessel Examiner or Program Visitor.
  • Be a recipient of the Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) Device or be willing to complete requirements to obtain it.
  • Prior experience as an FSO-PV/VE or SO-PV/VE preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet requested deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills (M/S Office Suite).
