Email 7038 script revised

The script that evaluates email addresses has been changed to allow more email address formats to be accepted. Also, both a file with no -s (a7038.pdf) and one with the s (a7038s.pdf) have been posted - they are identical. At some point in the future, tentatively one year from now, all references to email form file names will only include the 's' so that users can distinguish these from the forms posted on the non-email page.

Numerous Revisions to Forms Listing

Over the course of time, ANSC Forms filenames have evolved from the original standard format of "annnn" where "a" is indeed the letter "a" and "nnnn" is the four digit ANSC Form Number.

While different indicators were appended to the original format to provide various data, the result was that any bookmarks individual users saved for specific forms tended to become broken and/or worse, point to an obsolete version of said forms. In order to preclude these problems, all non-standard ANSC Forms filenames have reverted to the original format shown above, with the following exceptions:

  • Multiple Forms Sharing an ANSC Form Number — Note that filenames a7012 and a7012A are two separate forms that share the same number.
  • Multiple Published Versions of Same Form — Both a7029 and a7030 are published as a full version and also as a copy without the instructions included. Those files without instructions do have a "w" appended to the base filename to differentiate that fact.

In addition, the original table has been broken into two, separating the ANSC Forms and Other Resources. Various other wordings have also been enhanced. As older versions of of the forms files have been moved to a separate directory for backup purposes, any bookmarks pointing to an obsolete file version should no longer work. This is also the case for any existing user bookmarks to all those files for which the filename has now reverted to the standard format. But at least all new bookmarks saved should remain accurate through the future, always pointing to the current versions.
