Rear Admiral Sandra Stosz named one of Newsweek's "150 Women for Shake the World"

Rear Admiral Sandra L. Stosz, the Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) at New London, Connecticut, was honored by Newsweek Magazine as one of the "150 Women Who Shake the World".  Newsweek Magazine's the Daily Beast lists 150 Fearless Women and credits Stosz with "knocking down gender barriers in the U.S. military since she joined more than 30 years ago."   Explore the list of 150 Fearless Women honored at Newsweek's Women in the World - The Daily Beast.

Rear Admiral Stosz is the first female Superintendent of a U.S. military academy.   Stosz was also recently appointed to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Academic Advisory Council by DHS Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
