Diversity - Coast Guard Auxiliary Celebrates Diversity http://blogs-it.cgaux.org/index.php/diversity/ en-US http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss Coast Guard Auxiliary Celebrates Diversity <p>On August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous 17 minute "<strong>I Have a Dream</strong>" speech in front of 250,000 people at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.: <i> &#8220;I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold those words to be self-evident that all men are created equal...&#8221; </i></p> <p>That was almost 48 years ago and had he not fallen to an assassin&#8217;s bullet on April 4, 1968 at the age of 39, he might have probably lived to see &#8211; at age 79 &#8211; some of this dream come true, when Barrack Obama was elected President of the United States.
